Ingredients

  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 24 ladyfingers (Savoiardi style)
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream, chilled
  • 2 tsp pumpkin spice, freshly ground
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 0.5 cup maple syrup, and 1 tsp pumpkin spice.
  2. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, beat chilled heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk mascarpone, pumpkin puree, and the remaining 1 tsp pumpkin spice until smooth.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Dip ladyfingers briefly into the cooled syrup, ensuring they do not get soggy.
  7. Arrange a layer of ladyfingers in a dish, then spread a layer of the pumpkin cream mixture over them.
  8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cream layer.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours to allow the dessert to set and the flavors to meld.

Notes

Ensure the pumpkin liquid is completely cool before dipping the ladyfingers to maintain the correct texture. Use high-quality Savoiardi ladyfingers for the best structural integrity. Keep the dessert refrigerated until serving for optimal consistency.
