Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf pound cake, cubed
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Method
 

  1. Whip the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth and aerated.
  2. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
  4. Sauté the sliced apples in butter with cinnamon and nutmeg in a pan until tender.
  5. Allow the apple mixture to cool completely to room temperature.
  6. Place a layer of cubed pound cake into the bottom of a trifle bowl or individual jars.
  7. Pipe a layer of the cheesecake filling over the cake.
  8. Add a layer of the prepared apple compote.
  9. Drizzle with a small amount of salted caramel sauce.
  10. Repeat the layering process until the vessel is full and top with a final drizzle of caramel.

Ensure the apple compote is cooled completely before layering to maintain the structural integrity of the cheesecake mousse. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
