Method
- Whip the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth and aerated.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
- Sauté the sliced apples in butter with cinnamon and nutmeg in a pan until tender.
- Allow the apple mixture to cool completely to room temperature.
- Place a layer of cubed pound cake into the bottom of a trifle bowl or individual jars.
- Pipe a layer of the cheesecake filling over the cake.
- Add a layer of the prepared apple compote.
- Drizzle with a small amount of salted caramel sauce.
- Repeat the layering process until the vessel is full and top with a final drizzle of caramel.
Notes
Ensure the apple compote is cooled completely before layering to maintain the structural integrity of the cheesecake mousse. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
