Ingredients
Method
- Combine crushed shortbread cookies and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Chill the crust in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Fold in half of the thawed whipped topping until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
- Sprinkle half of the crushed Butterfinger bars over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping across the top.
- Top the dessert with the remaining candy bar crumbles.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow layers to set.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing for a lump-free filling. For an extra crunch, add the candy bar topping immediately before serving instead of before refrigeration. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
